About &tuBacchus

In 2020, at the height of the Covid lockdowns, &tuBacchus was born. Or, more correctly, made.

I’d always loved wine but only had a passing knowledge of the stories behind how it is made and what influences the quality of the product in the glass. During the pandemic I started the journey with the three-day Wine and Spirit Education Trust [WSET] Level 2 Award in Wines, was sufficiently hooked to then do the five-day Level 3, before throwing my heart, soul and 18 months in to the Level 4 Diploma of Wines. It was a labour of love, like this blog.

The best thing about this journey was that I made friends along the way. Brilliant, maddening, competitive, wine-loving friends. This site is about celebrating their voices and stories too.
